The quality reports shall contain both quantitative and qualitative indicators of the quality of the data, in the standard structure determined by the Commission in cooperation with the Member States.Ir-rapporti ta’ kwalità għandu jkun fihom kemm indikaturi kwantitattivi u kemm kwalitattivi tal-kwalità tad-dejta, fl-istruttura standard iddeterminata mill-Kummissjoni b’kooperazzjoni mal-Istati Membri.

Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 January 2002 laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety [1], and in particular Article 53(1)(b)(ii) thereof,Wara li kkunsidrat ir-Regolament (KE) Nru 178/2002 tal-Parlament Ewropew u tal-Kunsill tat-28 ta' Jannar 2002 li jistabbilixxi l-prinċipji ġenerali u l-ħtiġijiet tal-liġi dwar l-ikel, li jistabbilixxi l-Awtorità Ewropea dwar is-Sigurtà fl-Ikel u jistabbilixxi l-proċeduri fi kwistjonijiet ta' sigurtà tal-ikel [1], u b’mod partikolari l-Artikolu 53(1)(b)(ii) tiegħu,

Following the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power station on 11 March 2011, the Commission was informed that radionuclide levels in certain food products originating in Japan exceeded the action levels in food applicable in Japan.Wara l-aċċident fl-impjant nukleari ta’ Fukushima fil-11 ta’ Marzu 2011, il-Kummissjoni ġiet infurmata li l-livelli ta' radjonuklidi f’ċerti prodotti tal-ikel li joriġinaw mill-Ġappun qabżu l-livelli ta’ azzjoni fl-ikel applikabbli fil-Ġappun.
